My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kristy, an 8-pound Yorkie mix with the soul of a cautious optimist and the face of a tiny, scruffy angel.

At first, Kristy might play it cool — giving you the “hmm, can I trust you?” side-eye — but give her a little time and you’ll see her true self: a total sweetheart who’s great with people, dogs, and even cats (yes, cats!). Once you’re in her circle of trust, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without her adorable prance and snuggle-demanding looks.

At just 2 years old, Kristy has the perfect mix of youthful energy and seasoned sass. She’s the kind of gal who will make you work just a tiny bit for her love — and trust me, it’s so worth it.

Ready for a small dog with a big heart (and an even bigger future as your BFF)? Kristy’s waiting!

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
