My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Name: Sunny
Birthdate: June 20, 2022
Breed: Shepherd/Chihuahua Mix
Weight: 38 pounds

Bio:
Underneath the crumbling porch of a forgotten house, a small family huddled together — abandoned but not broken. Among them was Sunny, a shy little soul with big, searching eyes who never gave up hope. For over two weeks, rescuers worked tirelessly to bring them to safety, and Sunny's new journey began.

Today, Sunny is learning that the world can be a kind and gentle place. She still takes a little time to trust, but once she knows you're her friend, her true spirit shines: playful, loving, and full of life. Toys, belly rubs, and a good game of chase are her love languages.

At just 23 pounds, Sunny is the perfect companion for someone patient enough to let her blossom at her own pace. She dreams of a family that will celebrate her victories — big and small — and who will see the incredible dog she's becoming.

If you're ready to be part of Sunny’s beautiful new beginning, visit www.adoggie4you.org and fill out an application. She’s waiting to share her sunshine with you.

Additional adoption info

Adoption application is required. Applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. A picture of your home or yard may be requested

All dogs and puppies are fully vetted prior to adoption (spay/neuter, rabies, 3 DHPP, bordetella and heartworm test/treat if positive) and are micro-chipped.
Our fees start at $200, transport out of Texas is arranged by us and is generally an additional $200.
We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet. Our contract requires if an adoption does not work out the dog is to be returned to us. We need at least two weeks notice.
