My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Locke, a young mixed breed with a whole lot of heart and even more energy! With his wagging tail and goofy grin, Locke is the kind of dog who brings instant joy wherever he goes.
Locke is a friendly, playful guy who’s still discovering the world, and loving every minute of it. He’s got that classic puppy personality: curious, bouncy, and always up for fun. Whether it’s a game of fetch, a walk around the neighborhood, or just romping around with other dogs, Locke is all in!
He does well with other dogs and enjoys having canine buddies to play with. He does okay with kids, too, especially ones who understand that he’s still learning and growing. Like any young pup, Locke is working on his manners and would thrive with a family ready to guide him through training and provide plenty of exercise and structure. Come meet him or apply at ghhs.org!

Additional adoption info

Adopters must be at least 19 years old.

If you rent, you must have permission from your landlord and pet fees must be paid in advance.

If adopting into a family, we require all members of the family to be in agreement about adopting. For families that already include another dog, we typically require a meet and greet; this may be hosted on the GHHS property, or at the potential adopter's home.

Some animals may require a home inspection.

Verification of current pet(s) vaccine/vet records.
