Patches is about 9 months old, neutered and up to date on his shots. He loves squeaky toys, plays fetch, and also loves a good bone. Patches is good with kids(loves them), other dogs, and cats (although he wants to play and they don't). He has some separation anxiety and wants to be around someone constantly. Patches is crate trained. He walks well on a leash unless there is another dog/ person as he really wants pets (he also sometimes wants to eat bugs). He also knows to sit and wait for his food, lay down, sit, stay, heel and a few other tricks! If you want a running buddy he is the perfect option, he loves running and will gladly go with you! Patches is just a sweet dog who's looking for his forever home

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
