My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Buddy Foo Young! 🐾🧡

Buddy Foo Young is a super sweet 1-year-old Bull Terrier mix with the cutest ears everrr and a heart as gentle as they come! Weighing in at 49 lbs, this quiet, fearful boy is the definition of "don't judge a book by it's cover". He’s shy and timid at first, but once he feels safe, he’s all about calm cuddles and peaceful companionship.

Buddy is looking for a loving home where he can blossom at his own pace, soak up affection, and enjoy the quiet life he truly deserves.

Come meet Buddy Foo Young and let this soft-hearted sweetie steal your heart! 🐶✨

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
