My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fig!

Say hello to Fig, a playful little bundle of joy who’s basically pure serotonin wrapped in fur! This happy pup has never met a stranger — whether it’s a person or a fellow dog, Fig is always ready to make a new best friend.

Coming from a big litter of 8 siblings, Fig is now ready to take on the world one paw at a time. He’s searching for a loving foster home where he can keep learning all the puppy basics like housetraining, crate training, and building up his confidence as he grows.

With a little patience, consistency, and a whole lot of love, Fig will blossom into the amazing, well-adjusted dog he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, social pup to bring a little extra sunshine into your life, Fig is your boy!

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
