My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Pear! This stumpy, long dog has a giant heart and an endless supply of happiness to share. Pear is playful, cuddly, and absolutely overflowing with charm. Everything he does radiates pure joy, whether he’s chasing a squeaky toy, snuggling into a cozy blanket, or bouncing around with all the puppy energy in the world.

Pear knows “sit” and is doing wonderfully with potty training in his foster home. His sweet nature and eager to please attitude make him a perfect match for a family excited to grow with him and celebrate every milestone along the way.

He loves people of all ages and gets along beautifully with other dogs and cats, making him a great fit for homes with furry siblings or kids looking for their new best friend.

If you’re searching for a joyful, affectionate, and downright delightful dog who will keep you smiling every single day, Pear just might be your perfect match.

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
