My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Found as a local stray. Her owner was located but they decided to give her up. Bitty was covered in fleas, missing hair, toe nails curled and was drying up from having puppies. She is now so much better and spayed! Bitty is a big ol girl. We joke that she looks like an armadillo with her big round grey wrinkly body! She’s such a love bug and all she thinks about is treats! Bitty is house trained, likes some dogs but not all dogs, so meet and greet is required. Not the best vibes around kitty friends, so best no cats in the home. Let’s get this friendly house hippo into your home! Adoption fee $150

More about this shelter

Our shelter is staffed by only a few employees so we greatly depend on volunteers to help care for our animals.
We work very closely with rescue groups to help move our dogs out of the shelter quickly. Our goal is to never have to euthanize for space. We cannot do that without rescue assistance because our adoption rates are very low.
