Quest was surrendered to the shelter on 5/9/2025 due to rental restrictions. He is 4 years old and was a very loved dog who had lived in his home his whole life. His owners were forced to relocate and couldn't find an affordable place that would accept dogs like him. Quest is a mix of boxer, Doberman, and pit bull, and he is big and strong. He has been fully vetted and microchipped and his fee is $150.
Quest did live with his canine sibling in his home and was fine. They grew up together. We do think that he'd prefer to be the only dog in a home right now. No smaller animals for this moose. He's looking for an adult only home. Teens are fine.
NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.
We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.
We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
