Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet River - A Sweet Girl Who Deserves A Second Chance At Happiness
We are in urgent need of a foster or adopter to help River out of boarding and into a loving home!
River is a mixed breed who is approximately 2 years old and weighs approximately 45 pounds. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.
River was rescued from the euthanasia list of a local shelter after being pushed out of a truck.
As a result of the past trauma she experienced, River can be timid and scared at first, especially of men. Once River feels comfortable, she is sweet, affectionate, and loyal.
River loves to play, especially fetch. She also enjoys taking walks. River loves water and enjoys going to the lake, playing at a park, or going hiking.
River would thrive in a home where she is the only pet, and with patience, she will become a loving companion. She needs a foster or adopter who understands her past trauma and can help her heal in a quiet, loving environment. River would do best with an active family or in a home with a fenced yard where she can run and play.
Interested in fostering or adopting River? Apply online at www.fixingtheunbroken.com or email us at info@fixingtheunbroken.com.
Unable to foster or adopt? You can still help River by contributing to her boarding costs, routine medical care, and daily supply needs. Your donation ensures she has a safe, loving place to stay while she waits for her forever home.

An application, veterinarian reference, and home check are required for each prospective foster / adopter.
There is an adoption fee of $125 for animals under 1 year of age and $100 for each animal 1 year and older. This fee helps cover the cost of vaccines, spay/neuter, and a microchip. Each animal in our rescue receives medical care from a veterinarian from the day they enter the rescue until the day they are adopted. This adoption fee covers only a small fraction of overall medical costs.
Fixing the Unbroken reserves the right to decline any foster or adoption for any reason.
