Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I'm Kevin! I came up from Texas in April with my two sisters.
I am a very sweet and snuggly puppy. I am around 5 months old and and currently around 14 pounds.
I currently live with my foster family, and get a long great with other dogs big and small. I love to play with other dogs, but I also just like laying in the sun. They tell me I'm going to be the "perfect size" since I probably won't get bigger than 25 or 30lbs.
I love adults and kids. I live with two 4 year olds and one 9 year old. They give me a lot of love and I am totally fine with it.
At night I sleep in my crate at night and when my foster family is out of the house. At first I cried a little in my crate, but if I get some playtime or exercise before bed, I sleep great in my crate! My foster family did notice white noise helped me sleep better!
I have mastered the command sit, and am working on leave it. I love treats and I am very smart. I love to play with my toys and lay on my dog bed with a good bone. I also love to lay with my foster family on the couch!
Potty training is still a work in progress as I am just a baby. I do go potty when I am let outside but will have occasional accidents, especially if not closely supervised or if there’s a change in routine, but with consistency and patience, I am making steady progress!
Right now I am in a home with a fenced yard, and I love to run and play. So far I'm walking nicely on my leash. My perfect family would continue to help me learn and grow with patience and love. I would be happy in another home with a dog, but my foster family thinks I would be okay being the only dog as well.
I haven't been around cats, but im pretty small, so I don't think I would intimidate them.
Check out my pictures and yes I really am that cute!
Our standard adoption fee is $375 if paid by cash or check, or $385 if paid by credit card (which includes a $10 processing fee). This fee covers spay/neuter surgery when age appropriate at one of our participating veterinarians, age-appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative, and microchipping.
In order to be considered for adoption, we require a fully completed application, a phone interview, and a meet-and-greet with your entire family. Please note that submitting an application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee approval—it simply allows us to begin the review process.
If you are interested in adopting or would like additional information, please email us at adopt@safehavendogsIL.org to request an application.
Keep in mind that the breed and size listed in each dog's biography are our best educated guesses and are not guaranteed.
Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to refuse the adoption of any dog or puppy to any applicant for any reason.
