My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Midas!
Midas is a one-year-old bundle of energy with a heart of gold and zoomies for days! This happy, playful boy loves to run, romp, and turn any open space into his personal racetrack. When he’s feeling extra excited, expect full-speed zoomies and a whole lot of joy.

Midas is a total sweetheart who adores people, playtime, and giving out plenty of smooches. He’s affectionate, food motivated, and has done great with both medium and large dogs in his foster home. He thrives on connection and truly loves being part of a pack — human or canine.

Like many young dogs, Midas doesn’t love being left alone (and honestly, who does?). When he gets sad or frustrated, he may chew on things he shouldn’t, but he’s actively working on this and improving with routine, enrichment, and patience. A home with another friendly dog would be a huge bonus and could help him feel more secure and confident.

If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion with a big heart and even bigger personality, Midas is ready to be your golden boy.

Additional adoption info

Adoption Process
We have an open adoption policy, so there is no application or interview process. We simply ask that you meet the pet in person before adoption. We have adoption specialists that will help you find the right pet for your family.

Adoption Center
The Adoption Center is located at 7500 N. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. Our Adoption Center is a totally new concept in Oklahoma City where dogs have comfortable, expanded kennels and cats stay in “living rooms” with furniture and toys.

Pets by Appointment
Some amazing dogs get stressed out in a kennel environment like our Adoption Center, and much prefer staying at their foster home until they find their new family. If you see a dog on our website that says “E-Mail to Meet Me” that means that this furry friend is just a click away from getting a ride to the Adoption Center to meet you in person.

Adoption Fees
Adult dogs are $150 to adopt, puppies are $200 to adopt, adult cats are $75 to adopt and kittens are $95 to adopt. All of our pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, treated with all age-appropriate vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm preventative prior to being cleared for adoption, so we put a lot of effort and monetary investment into each of our animals including a two-week quarantine period in a foster home. These adoption fees help cover the costs of our animals’ health and well-being!
