Sunny is a sweet young dog who has already had quite a journey before coming into our rescue! This beautiful girl was initially adopted from a local shelter, but her new family soon discovered she was pregnant. To their credit, they kept Sunny through her pregnancy and the birth of her three puppies, caring for the little family until the puppies received their second set of vaccinations.
When circumstances changed, the whole family was returned to the shelter. That's when NYSRR partner Keri stepped in, bringing Sunny and her puppies into our rescue program. Now that her motherhood duties are complete, Sunny is ready to find her forever home!
SUNNY is currently in a foster home where she plays with several different sizes of dogs.
Her coat is soft as silk- not at all coarse. As her name suggests, Sunny brings brightness wherever she goes! Still a puppy herself at just one year old, she has a gentle and affectionate nature that shines through in her videos and photos. Her sweet disposition makes her adaptable to various family situations.
Sunny has begun her basic training journey, but as a young dog, she'll need a family committed to consistent, daily training to help her develop into the wonderful companion she's meant to be. Her intelligence and eagerness to please make her a quick learner!
She has been spayed and is fully up-to-date on all vaccinations and preventative treatments. She's in excellent health and ready to start her new life with a family of her own.
Sunny is in a foster home in Louisiana. Her transportation north is included in the adoption donation.
