My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chuck!

Chuck is a fun-loving brindle boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He does well with cats, kids, and other dogs and truly believes he’s much smaller than he is. Social, playful, and affectionate, Chuck loves attention, couch cuddles, belly rubs, and butt scratches. Toys are his favorite—he has a full bin and plays with every single one.

Chuck came into rescue in 2025 as a very young puppy (estimated 3–4 months old) after being found terrified and bleeding along the side of a mountain road. Part of his ear was missing due to a botched backyard ear crop, and he was cruelly dumped instead of receiving care. Despite this traumatic start, Chuck’s spirit is incredible, and he remains a happy, loving dog.

He is crate trained and crate-fed, eats from a slow feeder, and is very food motivated. Chuck is still working on leash manners and may be nervous with the leash at times, but he continues to improve with patience and positive reinforcement.

Chuck is a resilient, loyal, and joyful dog who is ready for a safe, loving forever home.
