Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This funny little dog is Ian! A sweet Rat Terrier and Jack Russell mix who wants nothing more than to be by your side, and preferably in your lap. He absolutely loves affection and will happily soak up every pet and cuddle you can offer. Ian is about 7-years-old and 15lbs of cuteness. Ian arrived at the shelter underweight and ill, but after veterinary care and healthy food, this boy has pep in his step and he's now a healthy, happy dog! Ian enjoys going for walks, playing fetch and getting treats (he's a master of puzzle toys). He recently went to the park with our volunteer and was very calm in the car. He soaked up the sun during their picnic together. Ian would be best as the only pet in the home as he can be bossy about his food and toys. He is potty trained and a very smart boy! Ian is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. To adopt Ian, please apply at www.AbandonedPetRescue.org

More about this shelter
Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.
APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
