Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cypress is the fourth dog of the first group of 8 we took from this case. At 62 lbs and nine months of age, she's learning what love, affection and a roof over her head feel like. Our hearts break for the remaining dogs in this first picture who are waiting for this same chance.
Cypress is shy, observant, reluctant and calm. She's not used to being on a leash but is slowly learning how to receive the direction that comes from it. She is currently in foster with her friend, Cherry, and they are opening up slowly. So much change, so much newness, so much life left to live at just nine months of age. Leaving the old life has been such a shock to her but each day she is growing more into the dog she was always meant to be. This journey takes time, patience, willingness but the rewards are endless. The small wins each day are what make the big ones. Watching these dogs blossom is what rescue is all about. We pray someone will want to be that person to continue to make her days brighter, meaningful, happy and safe.
Adopt Cypress. She is currently in a foster home without a fence but would benefit from one. If you have an open spot, please open it for her. Another dog would be helpful too for her to build confidence. We are lucky to be able to help her but we know she will make someone lucky to own her.
Happy days ahead, Cypress!

More about this rescue
Home 2 Home Canine Orphanage believes in placing dogs in homes that are compatible to their needs. Dogs are matched based off of home/fencing limitations, temperaments, family dynamics, etc. This means less emotional turmoil for owners who adopt a dog that doesn't fit and more stability for the dogs. Our rehab process is completely different than traditional shelters. Dogs are placed in an environment, a foster home, that allows them to decompress and show their true personality before meeting with a potential family. Our goal is to give our dogs a better life before you adopt them and to make sure that we are pairing people appropriately to minimize the risk of return.
