My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lefty is a resilient 10-year-old neutered male Jack Russell mix who found himself in a tough spot as a stray who arrived at the shelter with muscle wasting in his head, a left head tilt, cataracts, and a heart murmur/enlarged heart. He was deemed unadoptable and facing euthanization due to shelter limitations. Thankfully, they reached out to us, and we joyfully welcomed him into our foster program, where he’s been thriving in a loving foster home!

This special needs senior is a true sweetheart with plenty of spunk! Lefty loves playing with his toys and is a big fan of his doggy friends, making him a great companion for homes with other dogs. Despite his challenges, Lefty’s spirit shines bright. With recent dental work, routine vet care, and heart medication, he’s doing wonderfully and ready to live out his golden years in comfort.

If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a medical needs pup who’s full of love and zest for life, Lefty is your guy! Apply today at roversdoover.com/adopt to give this special boy the forever home he deserves.

Personalized Care: Our dogs live in foster homes where they receive individualized attention, training, and socialization. This helps us understand their personalities and needs, making it easier to match them with the right family.
Behavioral Insights: Foster families can provide detailed information about a dog's behavior, preferences, and any special needs, helping you make an informed decision.
Smooth Transition: Dogs from foster homes are often better adjusted to home environments, making the transition to their forever homes smoother and less stressful.
Support System: Our foster families and volunteers are dedicated to providing ongoing support and advice to adopters, ensuring a successful adoption experience.
