Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fae is a cute 6-month old female kitten who was brought to the HSOV on May 28, 2025 by a Good Samaritan who found her on Hill Street in Belpre Ohio. Fae was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped.
This little beauty has a dark brown short-haired coat in a marbled tabby pattern, a long ringed tail, and an adorable face with amber-colored eyes, a splash of white on her muzzle, and long white whiskers.
Fae has an affectionate, outgoing personality. She is a social butterfly and loves attention. Fae posed like a centerfold model for 'Kitten Fancy Magazine'. She also appeared to be auditioning for 'Comedy Central' with several hilarious facial expressions (smile).
Fae was given vaccinations and wormer on May 28, 2025. She weighed 6 lbs that day.
Since Fae was not reclaimed, we will have her spayed in the near future and find her a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue.
Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
Update: It turned out that Fae was keeping a closely-guarded secret when she entered out shelter since it turned out that she was pregnant. Though she is merely an overgrown kitten herself, Fae gave birth to a little stillborn kitten .. which surprised and saddened our HSOV kennel techs when they arrived for work and discovered what had happened.
Fae was not feeling well and ended up having to undergo an emergency spay surgery due to an infection in her uterus.
Fae was physically feeling much better after her surgery but emotionally she was beginning to get depressed after losing her kitten.
As with many situations in life, things turned out just the way they were supposed to (smile). As it turned out a young kitten name Clementine was brought to our shelter on July 12th and was also very lonely since she had been separated from her biological mother since (sigh) that mother was pregnant again. Kitten Clementine literally cried because she had nobody .. And Fae (and our kennel techs heard both of their cries for help. Kitten Clementine was placed with Fae and made an instant connection. Clementine suddenly had a mother and Fae had a kitten to love.
Fae and Clementine are the proverbial "match made in Heaven", so we hope/pray they will be adopted together. Clementine was spayed on August 4th, so they could leave our shelter with an approved HSOV adoption application.
Fae and Clementine were adopted together on August 27, 2025.
