Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charles was brought into us by one of our volunteers who found him roaming the streets. He is a happy dog with a matching personality! At first he may be a little scared and need a sniff or two to make sure you're okay, but after his inspection he is just happy to see you. He does good on the leash and seems to do well with other dogs. He has yet to be tested with cats.

More about this shelter

We are a no-kill, non-profit pet placement and adoption center located in Ontario, California.

We were established in 1954 as the Humane Society of Chaffey Community and it served as the local animal control for the surrounding areas. Roughly 40 years later, we adopted a no-kill policy as West End Shelter for Animals.

Sociable homeless cats and dogs are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep them for various reasons and they remain with us indefinitely until we find them a new home. The shelter can provide temporary homes for up to 200+ cats and dogs. In addition to working with pet owners, we rescue a number of cats and dogs from county shelters where they await euthanasia due to pet overpopulation.
