Hi, my name is Artemis and I’m a 12- week-old, 6lb. and growing female Pekingese. Currently, I live with my brother, Aries, and my foster mom’s small dogs and cats. Mom’s cats try to run from me but I’m pretty fast. I have posing and looking gorgeous down pat for anyone who can catch sight of me. Too cute translates into lots of treats! Aries and I love to wrestle and run in the yard, stopping every so often to smell the flowers (and water them a little) too. I hope my furever home will have another pup to make friends with. So far, I haven’t met another dog I didn’t like. It’s hard to believe how many neighborhood friends I have! Mom says I’m extremely affectionate and smart. Who doesn’t love to be loved? It’s a good lesson to learn early on and I’ve mastered that one. Artemis is pretty much potty trained, but will still frequent trips outside until I am 100%. I still have sharp puppy teeth so will need many toys to chew on. Like all puppies, I will need someone present to take me out every two to three hours during the day while house training. I will also need continued socialization with other people and dogs. Since I need to learn to walk on a leash, I need a fenced yard. Our walks should be shorter and during cooler times of the day too to avoid me overheating or having breathing difficulties. I would probably do well with a small fenced yard or a patio area with some grass to hang out together with you. Like all Peke pups I will need good grooming/brushing to prevent matting and daily care for facial folds after meals.If you live in the Central Florida (Orlando) area and think you would be the perfect forever home for Artemis, we'd love to find out more about you.
