Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Khloe joined the Northstar family after the only owner she had ever known was unable to care for her. It was a hard transition but Khloe has adjusted well. She’s so darn cute and extremely loving. Khloe does take a couple weeks to warm up to you but then, watch out for extreme cuddling!

Khloe loves going for walks and rides well in the car. She appreciates some space when other dogs are around - and happily moves to create that space as needed. She loves to explore, then run back to make sure you are still there. And she's not much of a barker! Khloe is 12 years old and weighs 8 pounds.

Khloe is housetrained but will use pads if there’s too much time between going outside or if there’s inclement weather.

In a very very small number of situations, a home check may be needed if we have any questions or concerns after processing the application.

A meet and greet will be arranged for approved applicants with you and your entire family including your current pets.

Senior Dog: 200.00
Puppy: 375.00 + 100.00 refundable spay/neuter deposit

In many areas of the country, especially in the South, the situation for animals is desperate: Chained outside and starving, homeless and running loose, or just simply no longer wanted and abandoned in an overburdened and underfunded facility that can’t possibly take another. For these animals, there is not much hope…except to look in the night sky for the North Star, their only way out. We are a group of passionate volunteers committed to saving these innocent dogs and finding them a new forever home. NorthStar Pet Rescue was founded in 2017, and although we might be a relatively new name among New Jersey animal rescues, you may recognize some of us from the work we’ve done volunteering with other rescues to help animals over the past decade. We are 100% dedicated to operating in an safe, transparent, and ethical manner and to ensuring the best veterinary practices are followed with regards to the care and transport of our animals.
