My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Micky Mouse, our tiny acrobat with a big personality! This little chihuahua may be small in size, but don’t let that fool you—Micky can jump impressively high, especially when he’s excited to see you. He’s a super playful guy who loves his toys, whether he’s tossing them around or showing them off. Micky Mouse also loves soaking up all the attention he can get. If you’re looking for a fun, lively companion who will keep you smiling, this little guy is ready to steal your heart. Come meet Micky Mouse at CHS and see his adorable hops in person!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

You are welcome to visit the animals in residence with us on a walk-in basis Tuesday through Saturday 12AM to 4PM. Sunday meetings are by appointment only. We are closed on Mondays. Please feel free to call or email for an appointment to meet our adoptable pets.

We pride ourselves on offering one-on-one private adoption counseling. Once you have completed your adoption application (online) an adoption counselor will contact you for a private interview.

Our adoption fees and requirements vary based on each individual animal's needs. We work hand-in-hand with our adoption clients and hand-in-paw with our pets to make the best adoption matches.

In spite of our efforts, we understand that sometimes relationships fail. If at any time an adopter needs assistance with their new family member or finds it necessary to return their companion animal, we will respectfully work with that client to determine the best outcome for the animal.
