🚐💙 Al’s Looking for a Ride — and a New Beginning! 💙🚐

Update 6/22/25
Al is absolutely loving life in his foster home! He’s been the perfect gentleman with all his doggy foster siblings and fits right in with the pack. He’s crate-trained, sleeps quietly through the night, and is brushing up on his potty training like a pro. Don’t let his calm moments fool you—Al still has plenty of pep in his step and is always up for a good walk or a game of chase. He’s the perfect mix of playful and chill, and he’s ready to find a forever home where he can keep living his best life!

Sweet Al was adopted from the shelter as a puppy… and now, through no fault of his own, he’s back. His family had to move and couldn’t take him along — but we know this big-hearted boy’s next chapter is going to be his best one yet!
Al is hoping to catch a ride from Georgia to Wisconsin on 6/21/25 with Mutt Life Rescue — but he needs a foster or adopter to make the journey possible. Could that be you?

✨ Why you’ll love Al:
🐾 Dog & kid friendly
🐾 Doesn’t mind cats
🐾 Gentle, affectionate, and full of love
🐾 Energetic and great with kiddos
🐾 Would soak up pets and attention all day if you let him!

💛 This guy has so much love to give and is ready to start fresh with a family who will treasure him forever.

📍Currently in Georgia — headed for a new life in Wisconsin, with your help!

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1.) Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.

2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.

3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it’s the right fit.

4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.

5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.

6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old.

**Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
