Meet Prissy!
This sweet momma is searching for her forever family. Prissy is a loving Labrador mix with an estimated birthday of 06/01/2017, weighing around 60lbs. We originally met Prissy in the summer of 2024 when she was a fearful stray who had found a porch to deliver a litter of adorable puppies underneath. After entering our care, Prissy went into one of our most experienced foster homes to raise her pups, and the little ones were quickly adopted when they were old enough. Sadly, Prissy had been diagnosed with heartworms, and spent nearly 7 months undergoing treatment to fight the deadly parasites. Her loving foster parents helped this girl feel safe and secure through treatment, and she is now medically cleared!
After long last, this girly is ready to find a permanent home. Prissy started out as an incredibly shy and unsure pup, but has grown exponentially in her confidence. She can still be a little timid to a stranger, but if you give her a moment to adjust (and a yummy snack or two) and Prissy warms right up. Prissy has always been around other dogs since the day she entered our care, and she would be more than happy to have a furry brother or sister in her forever home. Her foster parents have told us that Prissy often uses toys as comfort items, and you'll catch her carrying one around more often than not! When she's unable to locate a toy, she has also been known to pickup leaves or sticks as substitut
Prissy is fully vetted and microchipped. Since she is in a foster home, she is available by appointment only. Interested? Please call us at 615-446-7387
