Pete is a resilient and affectionate young boy who’s ready for a fresh start. He was discovered living in a construction-filled yard in Anaheim with his sister, in an area our rescue has been working in since early 2025. A kind neighbor who feeds local strays had seen them living there for nearly a year while being unfixed, flea-ridden, and clearly struggling to survive.
The homeowner once said the cats would be allowed indoors once renovations were finished, but months passed and construction dragged on. Then tragedy struck—Pete’s sister was attacked by an animal, and despite the neighbor’s efforts, it was too late. Pete was found nearby, heartbroken and confused.
After witnessing the danger and loss Pete endured, we knew it was time to bring him into rescue. Since then, we’ve been addressing his medical needs, and he’s now healthy, thriving, and set to be neutered in June.
Pete has shown us he’s a loving, gentle soul who’s ready to move on from his difficult past. He’s much happier, but it’s clear he misses having a feline companion. Pete would do best in a home with another friendly cat to help him heal and flourish emotionally.
We are currently seeking a foster, foster-to-adopt, or adoptive home where Pete can finally feel safe, loved, and truly at home. He’s been through so much and now it’s his turn to be cherished.

We do require an adoption fee to be paid at the time of adoption.
The adoption fee includes the following completed for your kitty (some are if needed):
Deworming
Parasite Treatment (Fleas/Ticks)
Vaccinations (FVRCP & Rabies)
Spayed/Neutered
Fecal Tested for Parasites (with negative results)
*** We also offer FeLV/FIV testing and the FeLV vaccine for cats.
The Purrty Pals is a cat rescue on a mission to rescue stray and neglected cats and kittens that live on the streets, live in unsuitable or unsafe conditions, and those most at risk of euthanasia in animal shelters. We provide them care through our foster program, improve their quality of life, and find them happy forever homes.
