Zeke is a friendly, affectionate little guy with a big personality and a soft spot for the humans he trusts. With his adorable brown and white tabby coat, expressive eyes, and sweet demeanor, Zeke is the kind of cat who makes a quiet but unforgettable impression. Once he knows you, he lights up with joy—chirping, rubbing up against you, and even giving sweet kisses.
His story is a special one. Zeke was discovered as a tiny kitten—barely 4 weeks old—crying alone under a car on Lullaby Lane in Anaheim. At the time, his finder had just completed a major TNR (trap, neuter, return) project on the street and thought all the females and litters had been accounted for. So when a neighbor called to report a lone kitten, it was a complete surprise.
He had no mama in sight, and it was unclear where he came from or how he’d survived on his own. After successfully trapping him using soft mom cat calls, he was brought home with no plan beyond food, warmth, and safety. For the first couple of weeks, he was given space to decompress and was fed, litter box scooped, and not being overly handled. Then one day, out of nowhere, Zeke walked right up to the front of his crate and started loving on his finder like they had been best friends forever.
Since then, Zeke has shown just how loyal and bonded he can be. While he’s still a bit unsure around new people, once he knows you, he knows you. He gets excited when he hears familiar voices, meows for attention, and melts into affection. He’s playful, smart, and full of heart.
Zeke would thrive in a calm home where he can bond with his person at his own pace, plus a kitty friend. He may have started out as a feral kitten, but he’s blossomed into a sweet, loving companion who just needed a chance.

The Purrty Pals is a cat rescue on a mission to rescue stray and abused cats and kittens that live on the streets, live in unsuitable or unsafe conditions, and those most at risk of euthanasia in animal shelters. We provide them care through our foster program, improve their quality of life, and find them happy forever homes.
Although many cats love the outdoors, we believe street living is not meant for cats as it poses many dangers to them such as being a potential gateway to contracting infectious diseases, getting injured or abused, all while creating litters of kittens that can grow into an uncontrolled community of cats very quickly. For all these reasons and many more, the outdoors can never provide a cat the healthy, fulfilling life it deserves. The Purrty Pals provides a fighting chance to these homeless and innocent kitties.
Our team is committed to making a difference in reducing the overall stray cat population in our community, while still advocating for the humane treatment of cats.
