Quinn is a quirky conundrum. She is so playful and gregarious - with other dogs. At first we thought she was uber shy, or had had a tough beginning to her life which was going to take time to change. What we are starting to discover is that she is generally a happy go lucky bouncy girl who will self play with stuffies (throwing them up in the air), bounces through the yard like tigger, is house trained and crate trained, and generally very entertaining. She takes treats softly, gives tender licks, and will snuggle up briefly and selectively when things are calm and the humans are sitting or laying down and her environment is relatively calm. The obstacles that are still challenging for her are 1) she is very very leash reactive/fearful. This will require skilled training. 2) She must have 4 legged friend(s) around her. They give her confidence around people, going outside and coming inside and generally feeling safe. 3) She requires a home with a 5`+ fence. Until she is fully trained on leashes she would be a flight risk and therefore needs a safe place to get her run on. (she is medium energy).
When guests come into the house, as long as the fosters dogs are in the area she is quite inquisitive and will be right there sniffing out the new people with her tail wagging, She is with a new foster and the transition was smooth in that she met all the pups, figured out the door to go outside and in, and was sitting on the sofa between foster mom and dad before the end of the first day.
She is very resilient, adaptable and as long as her minimum needs are met (fence, dogs, training) she will be a remarkable family member.
Check out her videos on our Facebook page (link at the bottom of our website).
Adoption fee: $625
All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. Our process includes the completion of an application Upon completion of the application we will:
Contact your vet for information on current and previous animals. It is critical that you have authorized your vet to release information to us.
If you are a renter, we will contact your landlord for verification of animal acceptance, or you can provide a copy of your lease.
Complete a background check using publicly available information.
If applying to adopt a dog, we will complete a home visit which requires all household members to be present.
After the approval is complete you will be free to meet our animals. When meeting dogs, all members of the household as well as any dogs will be required to meet prior to finalizing any adoption.
Our process is thorough and allows us to make every effort to identify the right match for your family. Please be forthcoming of all information during the process as that is what allows us to find the match. Adding a new family member is FOREVER and will adjust your free time, finances and overall life style. Animal adoption is a serious decision.
JR's Pups-N-Stuff, Inc. is a volunteer based organization. Most volunteers have full time jobs and families. Our dedication to helping each and every animal find the right match can take time. Please understand and be patient during the process. Thank you.

More about this rescue
We are an all breed dog rescue and help with some cats as well. We strive to help reduce the over population of pets by spaying and neutering our pets and find forever homes for pets left in shelters that otherwise would be euthanized.
