I’m Ginger, a canine angel in a beautiful red dog suit. I am a 6 year old healthy female terrier mix who is very loving, calm, happy, attentive, delightful and a joy to be around. I might like to be with school aged kids, or a retired couple, or anyone who wants to surround me with hugs and treats. I enjoy short walks and light exercise, I’m not aggressive or barky and I am thrilled to be with people. I have somewhat limited eyesight, but I see enough to walk right behind you and follow your path. I am faintly deaf (like many humans) and navigate the world with courage, curiosity and a tail that never stops wagging.
Fun for me is backyard play and short leash walks. This shelter is very difficult on my emotions, and I will be so thankful to find a calm, comfortable and caring home. I’m a gentle dog with a loving heart and a contagious smile. I thrive on the simple joys of life like being softly touched and being near my humans. I am spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and potty trained.
You and your family can have a powerful effect on a precious special needs dog. I deserve a safe place to call my own. Perhaps we could start out in a foster situation so you could see how healthy and awesome a dog I really am. Please contact the folks at the Humane Society of Sedona at: 928.282.4679 any day of the week 10am-4pm; excluding major holidays and come experience Ginger`s love for life.

More about this shelter
Our Vision - Be Our Heart & Voice
Building a caring community where every adoptable and treatable pet finds a life-long loving home.
Our Mission
The Humane Society of Sedona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets in our community and beyond. The Society has served the Verde Valley since 1966.
The Linda and Allan Brecher Center for Animals at the society is designed to allow every person, who desires the love of a pet, to adopt and provide a forever loving home. The Center provides quality care and positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable pets. Passionate volunteers help walk and socialize the pets in our care. Foster pet parents are an important part of caring for pets outside the Center.
The Society provides vital services for pets and people alike through income-based affordable spay/neuter surgeries and vaccination clinics. Also, for families in need to feed their pets, we have a Pet Food Program.
Another public resource is our adult and youth educational programs.
The Society relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Society’s thrift stores and some fees for service in order to save pets’ lives.
