My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Firulais is a domestic shorthair who was originally adopted from us as a little guy back in 2021. He was unfortunately returned March 2025 due to his owner being ill.
Firulais is the sweetest and shyest little boy who wants nothing more than a human who can be his cuddle buddy and bestfriend! He is a VERY shy guy in new environments and takes a while to come out of hiding so his adopter will need to understand, they need to give him a lot of one on one enrichment for confidence and most importantly BE PATIENT with his process. With the right loving owner, Firulais would be an amazing companion in a calm quiet home!

- Depending on age: Leukemia and Rabies vaccinations

Puppy Adoption Fee: $200
Dog Adoption Fee: $100

Puppy/Dog adoption fee includes:
- Spay/neuter
- DA2PPv
- Depending on age: Rabies, Bordetella, Canine Influenza, and Leptospirosis vaccinations
- De-worm
- Flea treatments
- Microchip ID*

*Every animal adopted from Valley Animal Center will have a microchip ID. However, it is the adopter's responsibility to register the microchip ID as soon as possible. Otherwise, if the pet gets lost, the microchip ID will not have the adopter's contact information.

More about this shelter

Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.

We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.

Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
