UPDATE:
Gypsy Rose attended her first Adoption Event and was the star of the show! She greeted everyone eagerly with invitations to rub her belly! Her bark is surprisingly low for a small dog, and she takes new people and dogs in stride.
Her foster family has learned that she can be a bit possessive of her people, but that seems logical after what she has been through. She needs a bit of practice walking on a leash but seems excited to explore wherever you may lead her with no complaint.
...........................
Gypsy Rose is a 12-year-old lady who Has gone through a traumatic series of events. First, her human mama died, then her doggie sibling, and then her human daddy died, leaving her all alone. The family turned off utilities at the mobile home where Gypsy Rose was eventually found.
She is currently recovering from some medical issues including mammary tumors, and her foster family is learning more about her. She just needs a quiet, loving retirement home and lots of love to replace all she has lost.
Stay tuned for updates or email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for more information on Gypsy Rose.
WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs.
If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.
Adoption fee of $310 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.
We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible.
Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.
