Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Etson!
Etson, fondly called Eddy or Mr. Wiggles by his foster Mom, is a 7 month old, 35 lb, lab bully mix from Texas.
Eddy is an adventure loving, playful, love bug! He loves riding in the car, playing with his toys, going on walks and giving kisses to everyone he meets.
Eddy has met young kids on walks and done well, but doesn’t currently live with any. He hasn’t met any cats, but has no interest in squirrels or bunnies.
He lives with another dog in his foster home and they love running and playing together in the yard. Fetch is one of his favorite games. When his foster brother gets tired Eddy is happy to play with his stuffed toys. Throwing them in the air and wrestling with them. Or he’s happy to chew a bone in his crate.
Eddy is working on potty training, but does sleep through the night in his crate with no accidents.
Eddy loves, loves food. His body vibrates with joy during his sit before eating.
If you are looking for a sweet, playful, outgoing companion Eddy might be the perfect fit for you.
Our standard adoption fee is $375 if paid by cash or check, or $385 if paid by credit card (which includes a $10 processing fee). This fee covers spay/neuter surgery when age appropriate at one of our participating veterinarians, age-appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative, and microchipping.
In order to be considered for adoption, we require a fully completed application, a phone interview, and a meet-and-greet with your entire family. Please note that submitting an application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee approval—it simply allows us to begin the review process.
If you are interested in adopting or would like additional information, please email us at adopt@safehavendogsIL.org to request an application.
Keep in mind that the breed and size listed in each dog's biography are our best educated guesses and are not guaranteed.
Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to refuse the adoption of any dog or puppy to any applicant for any reason.

More about this rescue
We are a small 501 C3 nonprofit rescue located in Elburn, Illinois. In 2014, Safe Haven Dog Rescue became its own non-profit. We are licensed by the Illinois Agriculture Department.
The majority of our dogs and puppies are pulled from Kill Pounds and Shelters in Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, and Illinois. We also accept local medical cases as often as our finances will allow.
Please take a few moments to read the stories about the dogs and puppies we have available for adoption. We disclose everything we know about the dogs, sometimes we know a lot often we know only that they were strays, thrown away on the side of the road, in the woods, or found in abandoned houses.
While we don’t always know their past we are certain that their future is much brighter.
We hope that you and your family are part of the future…..
