Hello, my name is Carnelian! I’m a young orange female tabby with a bold personality and a serious love for food. I’m the kind of cat who likes to do things on my terms — independent, opinionated, and not afraid to tell you exactly how I feel about it.

When I first meet you, I’ll probably be a bit standoffish. I might skitter away or give you a very dramatic side-eye if you move too fast. But give me time and space, and I promise I’ll surprise you. Once I feel safe, I become a very sweet and quirky companion who enjoys hanging out nearby and I'll happily sit and stare out the window. I’m not much of a lap cat, but I do enjoy company — especially during mealtime.

Speaking of food, I love to eat and I’m very much a social eater. If you sit with me while I eat, I’ll feel more comfortable and may even grace you with a few purrs (as long as there’s no vacuum in sight). I have a deep disdain for all house-cleaning equipment — mops, brooms, and definitely vacuums — and I will express my disapproval loudly before vanishing to a safe hiding spot.
