Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I'm Po and I'm currently living at the Santa Barbara Campus. I'm a 7 year *young* Male, Husky mix and I am SO ready to blow this joint! I was originally brought in as a surrender early this year and my friends have learned so much about me over these last nine months. I'm housetrained, love all kinds of toys, and have made so many doggy friends along the way! I've been introduced to multiple dogs of different sizes and energy levels and have shown I'm versatile and dependable when introduced to new environments, people, and other dogs. Even though I love being introduced to new people and doggos, no feline friends for me please! Considering I've been here so long, I've adapted fairly well being in the shelter environment; but just because I've learned to adapt doesn't mean I want to stay here any longer.
I'm a big foodie and you might just see how big I am when you come to visit. Did you know my name Po is short for PO-tato? I've also been referred to as No Neck Ed from 90 Day Fiancé. No seriously. Look it up. We could be related. I've lost weight since coming into the shelter and while I don't need to slim down to an itty-bitty waist or a size 0, I would thrive in a home where my person can focus on my weight loss journey so we can live a long, happy life together.
If you know anything about huskies, you already know I'm a certified yapper. There's nothing better than having a friend to chit chat, lounge, and chill with. Because I'm definitely all about those chill vibes. Oh, and I know cues like "sit" and “speak". I'm famous (I was on the local news) and a nice person even fostered me for a few days and had all good things to say, even saying they would keep me forever if they could... just putting that out there. If you’re looking for a relaxed yet fun-loving companion who loves both playtime and chill moments, I’m your guy!
Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777.
When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
