My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Huckleberry and I'm at the Santa Barbara Campus. I am a 7 month old, male, Chihuahua. I am a shy guy, but I am my most social when I have a dog friend to help me. Because of this, my new home should have another dog in it. It will take some work to break me out of my shell, but once I do I am going to be a special boy.

Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed.

Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.

Need some supplies? Both SB Humane Campuses have retail centers stocked with everything you need, at comparable prices, and your purchase helps support our mission.

Hope to see you soon!
