This is 10 month old Sadie who weighs 6 lbs and won’t grow much bigger. Yorkie Pins are very social dogs and absolutely cannot stand to be on their own; they will panic, and act frantically as they begin to feel abandoned. Thus, Sadie needs a household capable of constantly providing companionship for her. She, however, responds well to going to doggy daycare and having an in-house dog sitter. Sadie gets along well with other dogs and enjoys her time at the little dog park where she out runs everyone else. One owner described her as, “the life of the party”. She needs at least an hour of activity a day accompanied by extra playtime at home. She needs a person to kindly but firmly take the alpha position or she will take over. I would like to gradually introduce her to her new home, so it would be optimal if her potential adoptee was in approximately a 50-75 km radius of Edmonton in order to accommodate the transition.
