🐾🫎Fall in 💖 with MOOSE...the 2.5-year-old apartment pittie prodigy!🐾🫎

This brown-and-white heartthrob is ready to bring his sweetness, smarts, and signature bounce straight into your home (yes, even an apartment!).

MOOSE is a master stair climber who handles up-and-down potty trips with easy confidence. Outside, he's a smooth, leisurely walker who's all about savoring the moments he gets to spend with you. Inside, he entertains himself all winter long by chasing his ball down the hallway and adding a joyful little trampoline-style spring hop that will have you throwing the ball again and again just to see his adorable "catapult."

This boy has blossomed beautifully in foster! He became house-trained in just a few weeks, zoomies across the carpet with the greatest of ease, and treats his stuffed toys with a gentle mouth. MOOSE is a nap connoisseur who loves being cozy, and his signature sleeping pose? Flat on his back with all four paws suspended in the air like a blissed-out Scooby-Doo impersonator.

He's smart, too! MOOSE has mastered several advanced treat puzzles. He thinks best while in a play-bow pose, with his booty wiggling, and, good news for all, he's currently using his intelligence only for good. He takes treats and toys gently, sits politely (especially for cheeseburgers), and never leaves a mess behind. When it's mealtime, prepare for his high-cardio canter to the food bowl, one of his most charming rituals.

MOOSE also brings bonus track entertainment at bedtime:
Full disclosure, he snores loudly and definitely dream-chatters. His foster promises it's part of his charm.

If your love language is physical touch, MOOSE and you will get each other. He loves being close, loves being loved, and loves sharing his space with his human. He can get a little vocal when playing on the second floor, but it's rare and always during normal daytime hours. His downstairs neighbor has already met him and finds his "thunder-dome zoomies" completely adorable.

Social skills? MOOSE has them in his spades. He's good with other large dogs after he walks behind them for a few blocks and simply forgets they're there. Once he's comfortable, he can make real friends. His best buddy is a dog named Fraise, with whom he loves to tussle and be chased while doing his adorable tucked-butt run. Small dogs may require slower-paced introductions, as MOOSE likes to take things at his own speed. Child-friendliness is still unknown at this time.

MOOSE doesn't need a mansion, just someone who enjoys having a sweet, goofy, affectionate companion nearby.

Additional adoption info

We test animals for the following:

Dogs: Good with other dogs, possibly cats, food aggression, walks on leash, noting any other attributes we may know.

Cats: Good with other cats, litter box trained, noting any other attributes we may know.

We cannot test if any animal is good with children. We may know if an animal is possibly house trained, but cannot guarantee any animal in the shelter is house trained. We do not know if a dog is good with cats unless we are advised by a person surrendering the animal. We may have an idea of this depending on how the dog reacts to our community cats that live on the property.
