Pepo isn’t just any black cat—he’s a survivor with the spirit of a panther and the soul of a poet. This street-smart boy came to us with a crusted, closed left eye, likely the result of a scuffle from his life on the outside. But don’t let the battle scars fool you—Pepo is a gentle sweetheart beneath his rugged exterior.

Like many black cats before him—famous for their mystery, loyalty, and charm—Pepo carries the same quiet strength and magnetic presence. He's proof that even a tough past can lead to a beautiful new beginning. Now safe and healing, he’s learning that soft beds, kind hands, and chin scratches are way better than alleyways and rooftops.

Despite everything, Pepo is a good boy—he’s affectionate, curious, and just wants to be loved. If you’ve ever been lucky enough to love a black cat, you know they have a magic all their own. Pepo is no exception.

Part of our process is to match the adopter and the pet a closely as possible.

We check veterinary and personal references. Confirm residence/address.

4.
Meet the Pet

Connect adopter with foster via Facebook Messenger. Foster arranges Meet and Greets.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

Sign final adoption contract. Enjoy your new pet. We provide post adoption support!

6.
Pay Fee

Fee must be paid @ https://www.siameseorientalsnowshoerescue.org/donate

7.
Take the Pet Home

Once contract has been signed and fee paid, then we can release the cat to go home.

We can arrange transportation to many states along the east coast, through Southern US, the Midwest, New England, PA, WI, ME, NH.
