Max is a one year old shepherd mix and weighs 70 lbs. Max is a super affectionate and goofy boy - and this pet comes with its own pet! Max has an "emotional support rock" - He is a very good "owner" himself and never tries to chew or eat his pet rock. He leaves it outside the door and picks it up for every walk - and he is great on walks! Not too long ago, Max completed a training program so he is very good and well-trained on and off leash. Max is well-behaved in the home and housebroken; he is crate trained but also fine when left out of the crate. Max loves to play fetch and is incredibly smart - he uses his smarts to figure out what makes you happiest so he can always be a good boy for you!
Max would do best in a single pet home without other dogs, but he is so gentle and described as a "big mush" with his people. His fosters can take toys from him no problem (and he loves his toys!). He is not reactive to other dogs on walks and there is the potential for him to live with another dog in the future, but it may take a very long time and careful training. Teenagers ok, but not young kids. Max is being fostered in southern CT.
Max is fully vetted, neutered, micro chipped, and ready to go home with YOU!
If you can open your heart & home to dear Max, please contact Brittany with Pound_Puppy_Refuge

AmsterDog Rescue does not have its own facility. Instead, we rely on fosters to care for our beloved animals. Our available animals may change depending on your location and we do transport animals for adoptions within a reasonable distance. Since you will possibly be speaking with and meeting a foster directly, an application must be filled out prior to meet and greets.
