My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Greetings, I’m Gingko, the queen bee of this foster hive! Back in my colony days, I ruled as the matriarch, and now I’ve seamlessly stepped into the role of kitten supervisor in my foster home. Keeping those little fluffballs in check is a full-time job, but someone’s gotta do it, and let’s be honest—I was born for this.  When I’m not overseeing kitten chaos, you’ll find me indulging in my two great passions: lap time and nap time. I’m so dedicated to lap life, I’ll magically appear in yours before you’ve even fully sat down—call it my special Gingko teleportation technique. Playtime is delightful, but I firmly believe in the importance of balancing energy with downtime.  You’ll often spot me strolling tail-in-tail with my sister, Dogwood—we’re a dynamic duo with a bond as strong as catnip’s allure. If you’re looking for a regal lap connoisseur and devoted kitten matriarch, I’d say I’m the purr-fect fit for your family. Let’s make life pawsitively royal!

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
