Take the Pet Home
This helps Forgotten Cats, Inc. with pet care costs.
Please open your arms and heart to Whisper. This handsome, tabby boy was adopted as a kitten in 6/2021 and lost his home. It is not surprising that he was traumatized by the loss of his familiar surroundings.
I visited Whisper in one of the free-roaming cat rooms, and even though he was still adjusting to life in the shelter, this sweet boy is resilient. Take a look at Whisper’s video. Not sure if you can hear it, but Whisper started to purr, and he welcomed pets and soft words from his new human friend. He leaned into my hand and was interested in sniffing the scent of other cats I had visited. He was not reserved or shy at all.
Here is Whisper's video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/kVaXH7E9k1A .
I was smitten with Whisper immediately because he is such a dashing gent. His coat is plush and his tabby markings are stunning. Whisper made strong eye contact with me. I hope someone welcomes precious Whisper into their home soon so that he can relax and feel loved again.
UPDATE: Whisper is now playing with his new foster family and with pal Brimley (FCID# 04/17/2025 - 55). Foster mom says, 'Whisper is a bit of a shy boy at first, but he is a friendly and playful guy once he warms up to you and look at those big soulful eyes. Whisper LOVES other cats and would like to play with them all, no matter their feelings about him or playing in the moment. He is good buddies with his foster brother Brimley (04/17/2025-55), and they will both mutually groom each other and start wrestling sessions. He is not aggressive, however, so he is quick to move on if another cat puts up a boundary. He isn't a cuddler, but he likes getting a few minutes of pets and then settling down somewhere nearby. He also loves playing with his foster family when they use ribbon and feather toys or throw small toys in the air.
Whisper is on C/D Prescription food that vets recommend he stays on to prevent bladder stone development. He loves his wet food and is especially excited at dinner time, but he is on a weight loss journey to help him have the best quality of life as he gets older. His cute face is sure to make his new family smile everyday.'
He and Brimley get along great and usually have at least one play session a day.
