My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Puuretha Franklin!
R-E-S-P-E-C-T me, and I’ll shower you with purrs, cuddles, and love! I’m Purretha Franklin — but my friends just call me Purr! I was born in a cozy shed with my funk, soul, and R&B siblings. We’re a litter of musical legends in training, each named after some of our favorite artists.
Since day one, I’ve been fearless — even when my foster home sounded like a construction zone with vacuums roaring, saws buzzing, and hammers banging. Nothing ruffles my fur! I’ll happily nap through the noise or strut around like the queen I am.
I’m a loving little diva who adores lap time with you and ear scritches, and I’ll “Say a Little Prayer for You” that you come meet me soon — because I know I’m the purrfect addition to your family!
So what do you say? Ready to let some soul (and a lot of sweetness) into your life?

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
