Hercules is a 74 lb 6-year-old Mastiff mix with a story that will melt your heart. He came to the shelter in rough shape after a life of neglect, but thanks to his resilient spirit, loving care, and medical attention, he's on the mend and blossoming into the happy, handsome boy he was always meant to be. This sweet soul is as gentle as they come. Hercules loves people and soaks up attention like a sponge—his tender heart shines through in every tail wag and soft gaze. Hercules gets along well with other dogs, seems to be potty trained, and is a smart boy who just wants to please. He’s ready to trade his past for a bright, love-filled future. Hercules has waited long enough—he deserves a home that will shower him with the care, comfort, and kindness he’s always deserved. Could that be with you? Apply to adopt Hercules at HeberSpringsHumaneSociety.com
Hercules’ adoption fee is $125.00 and includes first vaccinations, worming, microchip, and sterilization. We have a dog park to check compatibility with possible sibling dogs. Please fill out an adoption application at HeberSpringsHumaneSociety.com and a volunteer will contact you in 2-3 business days. The adoption application is NOT on Adopt a Pet and must be completed on the Heber Springs Humane Society website.

More about this shelter
Our orginzation was founded by Doug Bakko. Funds were raised to build the original shelter on land donated. The shelter has since been expanded using donations and fund raisers. We are the only Shelter in Cleburne County. Our operating funds come from our Thrift Shop, donations, fund raisers and some assistance from the city of Heber Springs, surrounding towns in Cleburne County. We work very hard keeping animals happy and healthy. We do this because we love animals and want to give them a safe haven and every chance possible to go to a loving home.
