Looking for twice the fluff and twice the friendship? Meet Buffy and Angel — two inseparable, six-year-old Akita "sisters" whose favorite thing in the world is being together (well, besides sniffing every corner of the yard).
These lovely ladies are everything you want in Akitas: gentle souls, a touch of silly independence, and way more sunshine than their serious expressions let on! Buffy is the cool, collected type; Angel is the classic calm companion.
They walk beautifully on leash—side by side, of course!—and have impressed everyone when they were at the shelter with their polite hellos, easy-going attitudes, and quiet confidence.
Buffy and Angel are spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and have impeccable manners. They’re housebroken and bring their own brand of Akita charm (read: a little aloof, a lot of loyal). Their ideal home? A loving family with breed experience who wants to double their daily delight.
Buffy and Angel are each other’s rock — after a lifetime together, they’re a package deal, and we wouldn’t dream of splitting them up. If your home and heart are big enough for two, these lovely ladies are ready to be your inseparable companions!

Adoption application, home visit, vet and reference checks are mandatory. You must come to meet the dogs, most likely in NJ, with all household members. Adoption contract and adoption donation are required. You will be asked to sign a legally binding adoption contract. Our adoption donations are sliding scale depending upon the age and circumstances of the animal of interest.
