**Meet Alice** **Surrendered due to overbreeding and housing limitations**
Alice is a young, bright-eyed beauty with a big heart and even bigger opinions about cages. At just over a year old, she came to us from a home overwhelmed with rabbits after her former owner unintentionally ended up with multiple litters. Alice is one of the lucky ones-she's healthy, social, and ready to start the next chapter of her life in a home that understands what bunnies truly need.
---
**My Ideal Home** Alice would thrive in a home that offers her free-roam time or a spacious pen setup where she can stretch, hop, explore, and engage with her environment. She's not a fan of being confined and may lunge when approached in her kennel, but once she's out, her sweet and curious personality shines. A rabbit-savvy household that can give her patience, structure, and plenty of enrichment would be perfect for her.
---
**Good with Kids?** Older, respectful children who can approach calmly and handle gently would be a good match. Alice does best when she feels safe and free to engage on her terms.
---
**Good with Other Pets?** Alice hasn't been observed with other animals in her current environment. Like all bunnies, she should be kept separate from predatory pets like cats or dogs unless interactions are closely supervised. She may enjoy the company of another rabbit someday with proper introductions.
---
**Litter Box Trained?** Alice is working on her litter box skills and is expected to improve even more after her upcoming spay surgery (scheduled for August 15). Like most bunnies, spaying will help support consistent litter habits.
---
**Overall Health** Alice is in great shape! She's about 6 pounds, bright, alert, and has a clean bill of health from her intake exam. She's microchipped and ready for her upcoming surgery. Her coat is clean, her teeth are healthy, and she's been thriving in our care.
**Behavior Determination: Other** While cage life isn't her favorite (and who can blame her?), Alice is affectionate, playful, and incredibly sweet once she's out and about. She enjoys exploring, climbing on her humans, and will absolutely melt under gentle petting. She's not aggressive-she just knows what she wants and is ready for a home that lets her be herself.
**Fun Facts**
* Alice is named perfectly-she's always ready to go "down the rabbit hole" of adventure during playtime. * She has the zoomies mastered and loves hopping up on laps or exploring new textures and toys. * Volunteers say she's one of the most fun bunnies to hang out with-once she's out of her cage, she's all cuddles and curiosity.
---
**Before You Adopt a Rabbit...** Rabbits are intelligent, social animals who require more care than most people expect. They need safe, spacious setups, daily cleanup, proper diets, and lots of enrichment. They're not ideal for cages or "starter pets"-they're sensitive companions who deserve just as much love and attention as a dog or cat.
