My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Victoria | 2 yrs old | 41lbs | Housetrained | Crate trained | Good with Dogs, Cats, Kids

Victoria is approximately 2 years old and has lived on a 5 foot chain most of her young life. She has had 4 litters of puppies and she is tired. Poor Victoria had owners who really didn’t have time for her. Thankfully after the last litter someone reached out for help as this young Momma and her babies were crossing a busy road to find food. Victoria’s babies have been adopted and now it's Victoria's turn .

Victoria can simply be described as perfect. Yes, you heard that right. Victoria is a husky and NOT problematic. She is very sweet and relatively calm. She is up-to-date on all vetting including vaccines and her spay! No more babies for Victoria!

Victoria's past time includes napping and going for walks and napping again. She loves to play with her ball. She is a gentle girl with kids and takes treats gently. Honestly we can't say enough good things about Victoria. She really is perfect.

Victoria is finishing her heartworm treatment. She received an injury to her eye that was never properly treated while living outside. She does have some mild  vision impairment in her left eye but it doesn't bother her. She has received a clean bill of health from the vet!

You really wont find a more perfect dog!

************************************************************************ The adoption fee is $400, which covers vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet. All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age. Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. Please go to https://www.pawfectmatch.org/animals/search? and search on the dog name to see more photos, browse the profile, and complete an application

Your new pet will be up to date on the necessary vaccinations required by the age of the dog at time of adoption, spayed or neutered, on heartworm preventative and flea and tick meds, micro-chipped, groomed, and well on his or her way with basic obedience and house training. All of our dogs will be adopted out with a collar and leash, and a PMR tag.

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer rescue organization devoted to saving dogs from shelters, puppy mills, abusive situations and abandonment in North Carolina. Our members foster, transport and help the rescue efforts with their individual skills, experience, knowledge and expertise, and most importantly, their love of dogs.

At Pawfect Match Rescue we believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance regardless of their breed or age.

We take a different approach to rescue. We don’t try to save the masses; we just save ONE at a time and make them the best dog they can be by the time they find their forever homes.

By that we mean that we take them into our homes where they live amongst us and our pets and are treated as one of the family, not as a foster dog. We accomplish this by limiting our fosters to one or two per household.

Besides the basics of crate training and house training, we teach them basic obedience, we groom them, feed them a high quality dog food, and last but not least, we shower them with LOVE and attention that hopefully teaches them to trust again and realize that life really IS good..

We’ll never be able to save them all, no matter how many we try to pull and foster. So we believe that the one at a time approach with the extra TLC allows us to really KNOW the dogs and be able to match them more precisely with their new families.

This ends up being a win- win situation for all involved.

Pawfect Match is all volunteer and relies solely on adoption donation fees and public support. Most times our adoption donations do not cover our medical expenses.
