FREDERICK NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!
Name: Frederick Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Age: 8 months as of 11/20/25 Estimated DOB: 3/20/25
SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 5.4 lbs as of 8/5/25
Coloring: Gray Tabby Type of Hair: Short
Gets Along With: Because of his young age, Frederick will likely get along with other cats, dogs and kids with an acclimation period. In fact, he would do best in a home with another pet to play with him! He has lived with both dogs and other cats in foster. We’re happy to help with tips and tricks!
Special Consideration: Frederick is FIV positive (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). However, he can safely live with other FIV positive cats, and the risk of transmission to non-FIV cats is extremely low—especially in calm, indoor environments where cats are not aggressive and do not engage in serious fighting or biting. With regular veterinary care and monitoring, he has the potential to live a long, healthy, and happy life.
Currently Living at: DC area foster home

I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I'm Frederick and I am a cute little guy! I won’t ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be myself.
What my Foster Says About Me: Frederick is the sweetest, most happy go lucky kitten ever. He would make a perfect play companion for anyone with a cat loving dog. He’s bounding with energy and has a lot of to say about life. He would thrive in an active household with children or other pets. He’s the perfect little buddy to have around. He’s a professional biscuit maker, lap cat, and purr machine. He also likes to assist with meal preparation in the kitchen. :)
12/4/25 update! Frederick is a sweetie who definitely likes to be around others, humans and cats alike! He loves to chase toys and play with his wand toy. His favorite thing is to dart through a tunnel with his toys! He loves a nice high place to cuddle up and nap. He’s always around for a treat or two and will make sure you’re never cooking alone! He loves to hang out with his foster sister and sprint around the apartment. Frederick would love another playful cat friend. He’s ready for his furever home full of treats, toys, and family!
