Paco was pulled from a local shelter after he was brought in as an owner surrender. While in his crate, Paco has a bit of small-dog-syndrome and will defend his territory. While there, he will gently accept treats, and he will like you for about 5 seconds before he shows his chihuahua attitude again. When out of his crate, Paco is a different dog.
He still carries a bit of attitude, but his curiosity and desire to meet new humans and dogs overwhelms him, and he is a little social butterfly.
He will need a slightly brave adopter who is not willing to back down from his antics. Once he knows and loves you, he is tolerant and amenable to being carried around and showered with kisses! He lives with multiple other dogs and seems to ignore cats, who are usually bigger than him.
WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs.
If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.
Adoption fee of $440 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.
We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible.

We were founded in 2002. We are all volunteers and we have no physical facility. All animals stay in their foster homes until they are adopted.
