My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Chip – and I’ve got a story to tell you. 🐶💛

I’m about 7 years old, but don’t let the number fool you. I’ve got plenty of pep in my step! I’m playful, curious, and always up for an adventure, especially if it means meeting new friends (two-legged or four). I’ve got a zest for life that’s contagious, and a heart as big as my goofy grin.
I was found in front of a daycare, wagging my tail and trying to say hi to every family picking up their kids. I guess you could say I knew where to find the nice people! Even though I wasn’t in the best shape – I had an awful flea infestation, sores on my ears, and tested positive for heartworms – I never stopped being friendly, hopeful, and full of love.
The good news? I’m healing and recovering like a champ! Although I’m still working through my heartworm treatment, I already feel so much better, and my tail hasn’t stopped wagging since. My spirit is strong, and I can’t wait to keep getting healthier in a home where I’m loved and cared for.
I’m great with people of all ages, and I especially love kids – probably because I was hanging out at that daycare hoping for a forever friend! I’m social with other dogs (no drama here), and I’m curious about cats. I don’t chase or bark at them – I just like to watch them and try to figure out their whole vibe. With a little guidance, I think I could totally be a respectful roommate to a feline companion or two.

After spending most of my life outside, I want to see what it's like being an inside dog, especially getting cuddles on the couch. I've been working hard on my manners, and learning to walk nicely on a leash. I’d love a home where I can get daily walks, fun playtime, some things to chew, and most of all – love.
If you’re looking for a joyful, affectionate, slightly goofy guy who’s full of life and ready to be your sidekick through thick and thin… that’s me.
Love,
Chip 🐾
