Born November 2021, Arcadia is a parvo survivor, snuggler, lover, lap dog and loyal companion. He is completely house broken and trustworthy to be left alone for long periods. In his current foster home, he is the passive dog of the group. He enjoys the company of other friendly dogs and is playful at heart. He lives with cats and knows which cats like to play and which don't. He is very playful and loves a good game of chase. He likes to retrieve balls only so you will chase him after he has it. Loves walks- great on a leash after the first 10 minutes of excitement. Loves car rides as well. We would love nothing more to find him a wonderful home who can look past his scary bark, be patient with him and allow him to come out of his shell and form his loyal bond. He loves his people whole heartedly. He is also protective of them. He is kenneled trained and loves his kennel. However, since he is trustworthy in the house, his kennel is only used for periodic breaks in his current foster home. We require an adoption application to be filled out which includes personal references. An in-Home check by a Mikey's Chance volunteer is also performed prior to adoption. Our dogs come to the adopter "ready-to-go" with current Vet health checks, all shots and vaccinations current and the animal spayed or neutered, as well as micro-chipped.
Our adoption process can take 2-4 weeks to process as we are run completely by volunteers, all of whom work full time jobs.
