Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Canela – The Sweetest Little Spoonful of Love
Canela is a 7-year-old Chiweenie with a heart of gold and a soft, Nutella-colored coat to match. Originally adopted from us during the COVID era, she was sadly returned five years later. While no excuse is ever good enough, we’re focused on her bright future—and so is she.
Now thriving in foster care, Canela is easy-going, affectionate, and ready to love again. She just got a clean bill of health from the vet (with a gentle suggestion to lose a pound or two) and is already making friends wherever she goes.
We suspect she spent too much time crated in her previous home, but you’d never know it—she’s made huge strides in foster and is house trained, great in the car, enjoys walks, and adores cuddling and spooning up with her humans. She especially loves playing with other small dogs, and would be thrilled to have a canine buddy in her next home.
At just 12 pounds, Canela is portable, precious, and truly the perfect companion for someone looking for a low-maintenance, high-love kind of pup. She may be technically “middle-aged,” but she’s got plenty of pep and a lifetime of cuddles to give.
Looking for a loyal, snuggly best friend who will never let you feel alone on the couch again? Canela’s your girl.
